Canadian Canine Training Academy was founded by Randy Chartrand in 1995. After being located at the Nepean National Equestrian Park for 18 years we are pleased to announce our new location just around the corner off Moodie Drive at 190 Menten Place (formerly Stafford Road West), Unit 108, just off Hwy 417 at Moodie Drive in the west end of Ottawa.
Randy Chartrand has been involved with training dogs for most of his life, everything from competition obedience trials, Agility training, the sport of Shutzhund, Search and Rescue, Police dog training and Protection training for home and business. He is certified in dog psychology, canine first aid and dog nutrition. During the last several years, he has helped thousands of people find solutions to dog problems that can take the joy out of owning a dog. Such problems may include destructive behaviour, aggression towards people, aggression towards other dogs and separation anxiety, to name a few.
Because of Randy's successful and positive training methods, on numerous occasions he has been broadcast live on radio interviews, both local and national. He has also appeared as an expert witness in dog-related cases in provincial court.
Randy helps his clients by teaching them to understand their dogs behaviour and what needs to be done to correct their dogs inappropriate behaviour. He has helped an array of people, such as high-ranking Politicians, Military officials, Celebrities, Doctors, Physiologists, Psychiatrists, Scientists, Teachers, Police officers, people from all walks of life.
Randy has also trained several people to become dog trainers. Several of his past students are now working in Canada and the USA.
During his classes, Randy makes available to everyone his expertise and knowledge that he has acquired over the years while working with some of the worst dog behaviour cases you could imagine and turning them into well behaved family pets that are a joy to have around.
